An eco-park and glamping in the heart of Karelia

We, the founders of the Marmar glamping site—Igor, Elena, and Ilya—after a trip to Karelia fell in love with the beauty of the northern nature and it's culture. During our trip, we noticed that Karelia full of many beautiful places to relax, but it was lack of interesting and convenient routes for nature walks. That's when we came up with the idea of ​​creating our own park-hotel in Karelia, and after several years of searching for a suitable site, we found it on the shores of Lake Tenjärvi. Every year, we come to the glamping site for the entire season and talk with our guests around the campfire, monitor the quality of our services, help improve your vacation, and share stories about the history of Karelia.

Marmar is a family-run project that opened in 2023 as a full-fledged glamping site.

"Marmar" combines various natural textures—a lake, a swamp, meadows, and forests, home to small wild animals such as squirrels, foxes, and hares, while mushrooms and berries grow right next to the rooms.

To introduce guests to Karelian culture, we are building relationships with local communities and businesses, with the goal of developing crafts and agriculture in our region.
